RUSAL says aluminum output rises 0.8% to 943,000 tns in Jul–Sep
MOSCOW, Oct 27 (PRIME) -- The aluminum output of Russian aluminum giant UC RUSAL grew by 0.8% on the quarter to 943,000 tonnes in July–September, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Aluminum sales fell by 11.8% to 915,000 tonnes in the period.
In January–September, the aluminum output rose by 0.2% on the year to 2.811 million tonnes. Sales of primary aluminum and its alloys increased by 0.6% to 2.915 million tonnes.
The average price for the metal rose by 38% to U.S. $2.426 per tonne.
